The Bajau Laut people more commonly known as sea gypsies fish the waters and reside of the east Coast of Malaysian Borneo. Those that still live entirely at sea on boats as well as those that build stilted houses off shore of some of the small islands around the east coast are considered stateless people. These people have no opportunity for education or health care in Malaysia.
